Elke is currently responsible for the digitalisation portfolio of the new GIZ Fund for the Promotion of Innovation in Agriculture, i4Ag. She has over 10 years’ experience working in rural development in several countries, with a particular focus on land governance. Following her Masters Degree at Cambridge University on ICT4D and Women’s Empowerment, Elke completed her PhD with the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. Her big passion is working with agricultural changemakers on Gender Transformative Change, especially around AgriTech for and by women. Elke is also interested in emerging technologies and is one of the driving forces behind the technology radar “The Future of Agriculture” of the GIZ techDetector. As a proud Namibian, she hopes to reflect her unique perspectives and experiences in her work.
